Dear Ketsu-ians,

in case the freshies do not know. We've come a long way before FOW/C itself. We've been through a lot to get to where we are now.

We've been through OTC together, which was a leadership camp to prepare ourselves for FOW/C. We've had OTC Refresh 1, 2 and 3. All the outings we've gone with together. New Year's celebrations at VivoCity, walking a super long distance through Dhoby Ghaut (Cathay) to Bugis for Tau Huey and then back to Takashimaya... VERTU! Night cycling together was awesome too. We met up at East Coast Park, had dinner and went down towards Lau Pa Sat / Marina Barrage where we had lots of bonding (THANKS FOR THE ICE CREAM IZAK). We also had Ketsu chalet, opposite OCH, we clubbed in the room, drank to our hearts' content (yes Sharon, drank too much though :)) as well as played mahjong and wii. I believe that all this bonding has brought us to where we are now. As one cosca, one family, one Ketsu.

As we went through FOW, we may have felt tired and upset about some things that have happened. But we persevered and endured everything that can be thrown at us. Although we got last place for FOW, I believe we allowed the freshies to truly enjoy the time that they have spent with us, even though it was a non-residential camp. The reality of it made us decide to strive even harder for FOC.

As FOC arrived, we saw our very first ranking on day 1. Third. Would this be deja vu? I guess most of us were afraid of what would happen even though the freshies were unaware of anything. But we continued to put pressure on the other empires, and guess what? We came in second. I am so proud of all the GLs, Mich, Izak and Evan because of how much each and everyone of us put in to get us to where we are.

Ketsu is not just a cosca. Ketsu - Family.

I hope all the freshies had loads and loads of fun and aim to become a GL next year! To all GLs and FAs, especially those that fell sick during and after that camp, PLEASE DO TAKE CARE! Those who have week zero, I wish you all good luck :) I love all of you! Ketsu <3

it's going to be 6 longggg days of camp and you will all definitely need to be fit and healthy for it alright (:
so in the mean time, to those who is went for SLC, DOLTC, EOLTC please take good care of yourself and make sure you drink lots of water with lots of honey too (:
as for the rest who will be happily sitting at home and resting, please also make sure you're in good health too (:

some final updates so that everyone knows what is going on.

2. MONEY
as not everyone have paid up yet, THIS WILL BE THE LAST REMINDER FOR YOU TO DO SO.
each person will PAY $35.
breakdown of the money will be as follow
SHIRTS - $15
IDENTITY - $9

After Ketsu chalet, i kind of miss drinking session, htht at the jetty and in girls' room, cooking instant noodles using the laziest method, playing MARIO and lots more things that cant finish listing them down:) i felt that after chalet we have bonded more, (at least for me i did) and i know i will miss all these because after FO, there wont be much chance that we, as GLs can gather together, most of the time we will include freshies as KETSU is ONE BIG FAMILY! :D

Its just 7 days left to FO!! SO... LET'S HAVE A FINAL GL gathering before FO! we will go Marina Barrage to have chit chat cum eating session! if you have kite can also bring along:D you want also can bring pets along :D hahahahaha :) best if you can bring some snacks or drinks along, if everyone contributes a little, we will make a whole :D

HELLLO KETSU ! (FYI, this is Rachel)

During Refresh 3 at Sentosa, there was this station where we had to put forth 3 goals of ours as an cosca (not too sure if i spelt it wrongly or correctly, maybe i should have put empire) for FO itself, anyway the point is that these are our 3 goals and i thought everyone should more or less know them !

UNITE

- we still stand together no matter what obstacles are thrown at us! As one big family we will prevail !!! and like instead of seeing ourselves as a group, its more to family !

TAHAN(ENDURANCE)

- that when the going gets tough, the tough get going (i hope i used this correctly) this is meaning to say that throughout the whole 6 days 5 night, we will pull through no matter what ! we can like, be each other's pillar of support whenever anyone feels deterred or overly mentally/physically strained!

FUN

- FUN FUN FUN ! in the end, it just boils down to the freshies having fun isnt it? It's not all about winning first place (even though itd be awesome to!), when the freshie;s have fun and have the most awesome camping experience of their life, doesnt that make us feel all warm and fuzzy inside too !

Meow to all the lovely Ketsu GLs... Its my first time blogging here so ya...

Anyways the reason I'm here is to ask a little favour from you lovely people. Temasek Polytechnic Cheerleading Team , BLAZERS, would be going for its National Cheerobics Competition this Saturday. Cheerobics is cheerleading version of IVP and POL-ITE. Other teams like GUSTO (SP), REXAZ (RP) and the champion for 5 consecutive years, MAGNUM FORCE (NP) would have a whole bunch of crazy people cheering them on. Unfortunately, TP Blazers does not have that much support. So why not make this year different. I'm sure Ketsu is good in cheering right??

As for identity, there's a slight to the stuff we are getting,

Cause the hand fan we wanted are over price and other empires have already bought it before us. Hehe nvm, we can call them to fan us :) cause now the suggested idea will benefit both cosca!

New identity items
- Umbrella (So we can shelter our sweet freshies from the horrbile sun & we can shelther the empire getting the fan so they will fan us :), so smart right! And we can also use the umbrella as weapons, oh its for self customizing and there is the bang sound when we open together, awesome right.)

- Coloured shoes laces ( it will be use as a strap for the umbrella cause we wont want us to hold the umbrellas like market aunties :).

- Badage (remains the same)

-Cloth aka ribbon (this is a multi usage item, hahah both GLs and freshie can use and its cheap)

folken has decided to have their own chalet.

thus ketsu i guess we should just settle on the chalet dates and venue.

please vote accordingly to the various polls and we will make the decision by 27TH JANUARY 2010 WEDNESDAY 12MIDNIGHT. :D

for NSRCC, it is a bungalow type of chalet.

it has two bedrooms with two single beds in each room.

one huge living room.

one nice kitchen.

forgot how many toilets but i think there is 2.

it is rather inaccesible.

there is shuttle buses from tanah merah mrt station into the NSRCC chalet area at regular intervals.

last shuttle bus services leaves NSRCC at 10pm.

i am not sure about the price of the booking but i believe the price will be in between the other 2 options.

for ALOHA CHANGI VILLAGE, it is a bungalow type of chalet OR can be the terrace type of chalet.

it has about 3-4 bedrooms depending on the unit we book

one living room.

one kitchen.

it is within walking distance to changi village where we can buy food and supper from.

the place is rather old and quiet at night if we do not have neighbours.

however, it is the cheapest one if i'm not wrong as compared to the other 2 options.

for COSTA SANDS RESORT PASIR RIS, it is the terrace type of chalet.

it has two types which is the two storey type or the one storey type.

the bedroom will be on the 2nd floor if it's the two storey type with a simple kitchen and living room.

the one storey type is the normal bedroom with the small kitchen.

the place is considered very accessible to downtown east with macs and e-hub.

however, i believe it is the most expensive among the 3 options.

i'm not sure if you'll prefer monday to wednesday or wednesday to friday.

tentatively it will be 3 days 2 nights.

however if you have a request for a longer chalet please tag on the tagboard alright.

and i avoid taking the weekends cause i think some of us have family days. :D

please be noted that for the last option, the dates are before the TP DINNER AND DANCE. so it might be a bit tiring for some of you'll as you will have to prepare your D&D stuff before the chalet.
